TOKYO KEIKI HYBRID LEVEL GAUGE HC-10

New Proposal to reduce Flood Damage

The risk of flooding in manholes is increasing due to the localized heavy rains that occur a lot recently. So, the level monitoring in manholes is required. Hybrid Level Gauge HC-10 was developed to meet this new demand for flood monitoring.

Hybrid Level Measurement

Level Gauge for flood monitoring requires precise grasp of the level measurements in manholes.
HC-10 enables a wide range of level measurement through a hybrid system that combines
the advantages of a Radar Level Gauge and a Pressure Level Gauge

The advantage of Radar Level Gauge

It is not affected by the dynamic pressure of water flowing, so it can measure stably in the channel of manhole.

The advantage of Pressure Level Gauge

It is easy to be affected by the dynamic pressure of water flowing, but by installing a pressure sensor above the channel, it is possible to precisely measure the water level up to the top of manhole.

Principle of Measurement

Generally, HC-10 measures the water level by microwave, but when the water level rises, it automatically switches measurement method from microwave to pressure at the switching point. When the water level drops, the pressure measurement method is automatically switched to the microwave measurement method at the switching point. It can measure the water level accurately by performing pressure calibration with the measured values of Radar Level Gauge at the switching point.
